In 2024, the Energy Agency of Savinjska, Šaleška and Koroška (KSSENA), in addition to other projects, has started the implementation of the HyEfRe project (Hydrogen integration for efficient renewable energy systems), which has been approved under the Interreg Central Europe call for proposals. The main objective of HyEfRe is to create green hydrogen ecosystems that promote the replacement of fossil fuels with renewable energy sources. The project contributes to the electrification of the economy by developing and testing new technologies, assessing the potential of hydrogen and developing an action plan to reduce regulatory barriers to the deployment of renewable energy and green hydrogen.
