Energy-performance-contracting is an essential instrument for the efficient use of electricity and heat in municipal buildings. This efficient instrument is necessary toachieve a more widespread application area in the eastern part of the European Union.

The main purpose of project implementation through energy contracting models is to involve private investors in the implementation of energy efficiency measures, without engaging public sector funding. The implementation of the project through energy contracting, represents a reduction of energy costs in the building, which is further specified in the contract. An important aspect of this approach is that all the costs of the energy reduction services provided are paid off from the savings generated and from the more efficient preparation of energy for heating, electricity and water supply.

Energy Agency KSSENA strives to maximize the involvement of energy contracting in the energy renovation of buildings and public lighting. We have many years of experience in this field, which we gained from participating in international projects and the implementation of pilot projects in Slovenia.
